Summary:
Billy O'Shannessy, once a prominent barrister, now lives on the street outside the State Library. Ryan is a ten-year-old, near street kid, heading for trouble. The two meet and Billy tells Ryan the story of the circumnavigation of Australia as seen through Matthew Flinders' cat Trim's eyes. Billy is drawn deeply into Ryan's life and, over several months, the two begin the mutual process of rehabilitation.
